Back to the story, I have been running quite regularly lately. Like 3-4 times a week. If it's not for the run that I've signed up there was no way I would get my butt out there running this regularly. Hehe. I treat it like a training and it's true ... the more training you have ... the easier your body will get use to the impact of the activity. I remembered when I first started my own little runnning program, my whole body is aching to the point that I was unable to sleep at night.
Now that I have made running into my daily routine I found that I no longer suffers body aches like when I just started the whole running thing. Even if there were aches .. it was bearable or barely noticable. I even sleep like a baby now ... which is awesome.
Last week I've been alternating my run with a strength training program. 1 day I'm outside running and the next day I'm indoor doing weight training or jump rope. The next day I run and the day after I'm doing strength or weight training in my room. It went on and on in that manner. The result was soooo great. Suprisingly I've improved my flexibility and my lower body felt stronger in a short span of time. I can now run longer wihout feeling out of breath too soon. Wee hooo!
And this morning, I can slip into my slim cut pants easily. No more muffin top or it's like .. less visible. Woohoo! My little muffin top almost gone in 1 week! Imagine if I keep doing it for weeks and weeks. I could be having a washboard abs! Huhuhu. Although, I didn't get into running to lose weight, but it'll just happened naturally along the way. (Grin)
So, I've improved my flexibility and muscle strength ... oh, not to forget that I also lost the fat around my middle! What a great reason to stick to running. If any of you readers would like to have the same benefit ... why don't you start running now. Make it a habit! No need to sign up for gym membership. Save your mone on a vacation or something like that. (^,^)
Oh, in case you're not sure what muffin top it. Here it is. Very unsightly. Tehehe.
